We had a fantastic Monday night! I'm very excited to keep the momentum going this week as we prepare for a few days off of school, a Friday night game at Lancaster and our Double Contest on Saturday. On Saturday we will be traveling to Athens High School for an early afternoon show, then to Seneca Lake for a picnic then a quick trip over to Meadowbrook for our final show of the evening. I will include addresses for each site later in the FYI. Uniforms It is very important that students are take extra caution to keep their uniforms nice and clean over the next 3 performances. We do not want any accidents. As the weather turns hot chocolate might seem like a good idea during our 3rd quarter breaks but it truly isn't worth the risk! Friday is our full Purple Uniforms and Saturday is all white! Be sure to bring your garment bag for protecting your uniform on the bus from any dirt and grime when not in uniform Saturday. Friday Timeline 3:10 - Dress rehearsal 4:10 - Load/Change/Eat 5:30 - Depart for Lancaster 6:15 - Arrive 7:00 - Kick off 10:00 - Return to PHSC (No unloading, go sleep!) Saturday Shows info / Ticket Information for Parents and spectators / General Comments For students this will obviously be a long day. Encourage them to bring weather-appropriate clothing when not in uniform and cash for concessions. The Boosters will provide a tailgate style meal after the first show at: Seneca Lake Park 22172 Park Rd senecaville, OH 43780 Field Commanders will be left at Athens to collect any awards and judges sheets with a parent chaperone. We will get them back to the cookout at the conclusion of the Athens awards. Athens Contest info - Tickets are $7. Children are $5 - 58615 Marietta RD Byesville, OH 43723 Saturday Timeline 9:30 - Band room opens 10:05 - buses arrive 10:15 - Depart for Athens High School (1.5 hours by bus) 11:45 - Arrive at Athens High School 12:40 - Warm-up 1:45 - Performance #1 2:00 - Load EQ 2:20 - Load school buses, Depart for Seneca Lake (Leave FC’s at Athens for awards) 4:15 - Arrive at Picnic location 5:15 - Start clean-up and load 5:45 - Depart for Meadowbrook High School 6:10 - Arrive at Meadowbrook High school 7:25 - Warm-up 8:30 - Perform #2 9:15 - Awards 9:30 - Load and Depart 11:30 - Arrive at PHSC *In the event of poor weather we do have rainout plans. Nathan StoweMr. Stowe is Director of Bands at Pickerington High School Central. He's in his 11th year of teaching in Pickerington and 19th year of his career.
