History & Appearances
The Pickerington Central Marching Band has appeared on the national stage with performances in the Tournament of Roses Parade (5x), Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (4x), Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade (3x), NYC National Veterans’ Day Parade (2x), Citrus Bowl Parade (1x), Fiesta Bowl Parade (3x), Cotton Bowl Parade (1x), Orange Bowl Parade (2x), Miss America Pageant Parade (1x), and the 25th Anniversary Celebration of the Vietnam Wall Parade in Washington DC.
The Pickerington Central Marching Band has also had professional football game appearances with the Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, and Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League; and the Hamilton (Ontario, Canada) Tiger Cats in the Canadian Football League.
Other performances include rallies for Senator John McCain (2008), Senator Barack Obama (2008), President George W. Bush, President Ronald Reagan, President George H.W. Bush, Vice-President James Danforth “Dan” Quale, Senator Robert Dole, Governor George Voinovich and Mrs. Voinovich, an Ohio Democratic Party Election reception, and the Boy Scout National Council Meeting featuring Paul Harvey.
