Marching Cubs
2021-2022
Over the summer, we will offer a program for students of Pickerington School District grades 3 through 6 who want to learn to spin a flag and who may be interested in joining the Color Guard Teams in Junior High and High School. There is no previous experience needed and is a great opportunity for young students to learn skills early. When they are old enough to join the Junior Guard, they will learn to spin a rifle as well. High School students add spinning a sabre to their skill set.
A bonus opportunity for the kids, in addition to the camp days, is the opportunity to march in the July 4th parade with the Marching Tigers. There will be short parade rehearsals with the Central High School Marching Band. These times will be announced when the Band Director has made those available and they will be posted here. Parade dress code is the camp t-shirt and jean shorts and tennis shoes. Students will need to bring their flags.
Cubs will also be invited to join the High School Guard at one of the home football games.
