Parents, Boosters and Students,
It's exciting to write the first blog of the season, all though I wish it were about a Tiger Football game! There is nothing restful about Labor Day when you are a Marching Tiger. here is what you need to know about the next few days over the holiday weekend. 8/30 Band practice is 3 - 6. This practice is mandatory. (Our first contest is now less than a month away and we need to get song 4 drill on the field) 8/31 Nothing on Saturday. I'm looking forward to some family time myself. 9/1 Nothing on Sunday. 9/2 Labor Day 8:00 am - Combined rehearsal with North Pride. 9:15. - Dismiss from the field 9:30 - Lineup 10:00 - Parade step-off 11:30* - Concert in Victory Park (*This is a rough estimate for the start of the concert) 12:30*. - Dismissal (*Again, this is a rough estimate. We are at the mercy of the lions club.) The band room will be open for a short time after the concert. Its usually 45 minutes after dismissal. Most kids plan on taking their instruments home and bringing them to school on Tuesday if possible. I'm looking forward to showing off our new music to the community! Due to Homecoming on October 12 for PHSC I have officially removed us from the Hilliard Band contest and have rescheduled us for the following Date and Location. The Marching Tigers will perform at the Canal Winchester Classic on October 5th. The location is right down the road at Canal Winchester High School. The show starts at 12:00, our performance time will be announced two weeks out but will most likely be in the very early afternoon. Everyone enjoy the holiday weekend and Go Tigers! Mr. Stowe
