All, This past weekend was a simply fantastic. The weather, the performances, the behavior, everyone did a fantastic job. We are very lucky to have such great students and boosters that make days like Saturday possible. Thank you's aren't nearly enough but I'm eternally grateful and thankful for the efforts of our parents and boosters! Playoff game #1 This will be our last performance of the halftime show at football games. If we win and have a second home game we will get into doing show band activities. Uniform The band will wear their hats and purple pants with gloves on Friday. (don't forget black socks) Friday Timeline 3:10 - Dress rehearsal 4:10 - Dismiss/load/eat 5:45 - Meet at Ridgeview lot/warm-up 6:20 - Parade from Ridgeview lot to stadium 6:50 - Pregame 7:00 - Kickoff Parent Pick-up As weather gets colder it is imperative that parents are communicating with their children at the end of games and contests to be picked up. I will not allow my staff or myself to stay inside the building with single individuals, nor will we put them in our vehicles to transport them home for you. You may notice that when kids are left behind I ask them to exit the building and wait on the hill for pick-up. I will watch over them from a distance in my enclosed car. This is fine in the early fall when it is warm, but as temps drop parents need to be more concerned with picking-up in a timely fashion. State Contest This Saturday is the final Contest of the year. Not all bands earn the privilege of going to State Marching Band Finals. We have earned the extra special privilege of being the last band to perform on Saturday night at 10:30pm. The Marching Tigers are one of many bands Specific information regarding state contest sites, prices and parking can be found here: Saturday Timeline

We will travel to Reynoldsburg for the last regular season game then head to two different marching band contests on Saturday for a "Double-Header" day. Uniforms It is very important that students are take extra caution to keep their uniforms nice and clean over the next 3 performances. We do not want any accidents. Everyone is encouraged to wear PHSC apparel while seated in the stadium. I also encourage everyone to bring any weather appropriate gear. Temperatures may be colder once the sun sets. Expectations for all Marching Tigers in Ohio Stadium - Once we have concluded our performance we will meet at the Rotunda for a band photo. - After the photo we will begin our load-in procedures and change out of our uniforms. - We will meet at the band trailer as one unit then enter the stadium when all of the loading and changing is finished. - We will enter the stadium and find seats for the entire band towards the North end of the home side on A deck. - Students are expected to be in a seat with the band when not getting concessions or using the restroom. There is to be ZERO horse play. - If leaving the group for concessions or restrooms I expect students to be in groups of 2 or more. It is tedious work but makes for am awesome end product. Buckeye Invitational Buckeye Invitational tickets for October 15 can be found by clicking the link below.
