All,
Thank you for a fantastic final contest in New Philadelphia. I'm very thankful for those who made the trek, we loved hearing you cheer in the stands. The band finished their regular competition season scoring a record high 271.25! They finish second overall, won best visual performance and won the Esprit De Corps award. Esprit De Corps is awarded to the band who represented themselves in a positive light on and off the field and for those who carry a confidence and pride in the program! It was a great day. Wednesday Due to an increasing chance of rain throughout the day I have decided to reschedule rehearsal to immediately after school in an attempt to get practice in. Our rehearsal will run from 3:30-5:30. Thank you for your understanding as we prepare for State Contest on Saturday. Friday We will not be traveling to Grove City this Friday. It was errantly added to the calendar at the beginning of the year. This is a great opportunity to let your students attend the game as a "typical" student and participate in the student section. Additionally, there will not be practice after school. Saturday We are finally able to say that our State Contest date and time is finalized. We will be at Hilliard Bradley HS performing at 8:30. Awards will immediately follow our performance. Its going to be an exciting day for our last show. As a sign of appreciation the administration has again offered to buy dinner for the Marching Tigers before State Contest. If available to help with set up and tear down of this meal please contact Robin at the [email protected] email. The hurdle for us to overcome is the craft bazaar. It is my understanding that we will be able to use the commons to feed the kids at 4:00pm but will most likely have craft show stragglers still in the building. A good group of parents willing to help this meal go smoothly is very much needed and appreciated. Many hands make light work! I'll order the pizza to arrive at Central by 4:00. Be sure to thank Mrs. Tennenbaum and our admin team for sponsoring dinner for the Marching Tigers on Saturday. Saturday Timeline 3:00 - Report to the band room 4:30 - Pizza Dinner 5:00 - Load/change Clothes 5:45 - Depart for Hilliard Bradley 6:30 - Arrive 7:30 - warm-up 8:30 - Perform 8:45 - Awards 9:00 - Load 9:30 - Depart for PHSC 10:15 - arrive home
